Install the extension

The extension drives streaming services — search a title on Netflix from your phone, start playback on the PC. Everything else in PC_Remote works without it.

First: the folder path

The browser will ask you to POINT AT a folder. It differs on every computer, so this page cannot give it to you — but PC_Remote knows it.

In the PC_Remote window: « ⬇ Install browser extension », then « Copy path ». The path is then on your clipboard: just paste it with Ctrl+V — nothing to remember, nothing to retype.

Then, in the browser

1. Open the extensions page. Depending on your browser, type in the address bar: brave://extensions — chrome://extensions — edge://extensions
2. Turn on « Developer mode » (usually a switch at the top right).
3. Click « Load unpacked ».
4. Paste the path with Ctrl+V, then confirm. Done.

Why this isn't automatic

No browser lets a program install an extension for you, and that is a good thing: without that rule, any software could inject code into your pages without asking. The step is yours, and so is the decision.
