A server on the PC, an app on the phone. Streaming, volume, windows, keyboard, mouse, screen brightness, and an alarm to find the phone. Nothing leaves the local network.

A double-click. A window opens with a code to scan. Leave it open — that window IS the server; close it and the remote stops.
Both devices on the same Wi-Fi. The camera is enough. Nothing to type, no account to create.
The remote page opens, a green dot shows the connection. You can add it to your home screen to get it like a real app.
Optional — but this is what unlocks remote search and playback. In Brave or Chrome: turn on « developer mode », then « load unpacked » and pick the folder provided. Keep the browser open: it is what talks to the server.
